About Rosie Dog Design

I’m Lorraine, the artist behind Rosie Dog Design. I trained in printed textiles at Winchester School of Art and have worked freelance in fashion and interior textile design ever since. Surface design is my passion: I spend a lot of time observing and sketching ideas for new work.

I still sell designs to the fashion industry, which pushes my drawing and technical skills and lets me experiment with different styles. I love printing on silk — it’s luxurious and makes colours vibrant; ochre yellows can look like gold on silk, adding a special touch. I design scarves hoping people choose pieces they’ll treasure for years.

My influences come from travel, nature and architecture. All my designs are hand-drawn or painted and reproduced by digital printing, which retains the full colour palette of the original artwork.

I’m the only official stockist of Rosie Dog products; any of my designs sold on other international sites are unauthorised copies.
