Indian Palace
I wonder if this design wasn’t always in my head. Indian Palace was inspired by some photographs by Karen Noor of a tiger and a stork walking through a beautiful Indian Palace and scenes from the Film ‘ A Passage to India’ when Adela visits an ancient monument on her own and discovers it had been taken over by monkeys. I love the idea of archways and view points, nature reclaiming the buildings and majestic animals living in palatial surroundings. I painted the archways to create the border for the square scarf design and added foliage and flowers to add a softness to the stone archways.
Hand painted design, designed in house.
Designed, digitally printed and hemmed in Great Britain
Hand wash or dry clean
100% light Silk Crepe de Chine
Hand rolled hem
Silk crepe takes colour very well and gives a rich vibrant look to the scarf. The silk has a natural sheen, is soft against the skin and drapes beautifully.
88cm square
