Travel has such a huge impact on my design work and I love top explore, photograph and record my travels in sketchbooks. Kefalonia made a huge impression on me, I was so amazed by the wild nature of the island and the incredible wealth of flora from roses to orange trees. In the towns we saw lots of pots of stunning amaryllis growing on patios and balconies, carpets of succulents growing over walls and recent trips to the north of the island, where the air smells of wild herbs. I haven’t found a Greek island I didn’t love but Kefalonia is my favourite. This design, is imagined looking across the sea to the island of Zante. Original artwork painted in watercolour and edged with a wide green border, printed onto Silk Crepe with a hand rolled hem.

Silk crepe takes colour very well and gives a rich vibrant look to the scarf. The silk has a natural sheen, is soft against the skin and drapes beautifully.
